Born in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco México, Alexis came to the U.S. at age two. He grew up in a small ranchito on the outskirts of Stockton, California. At the University of California, San Diego in 2014 he double-majored in Ethnic Studies & Public Health. His passion and commitment to serve the undocumented community stems from his own experiences as an undocumented immigrant for 20 years, an undocumented university student for 6 years, and a community & student organizer since 2011. His interest in immigration law and policy was solidified from his experiences as a UCLA Law Fellow and a UC Berkley PPIA Law Fellow. Alexis works for Public Health Solutions in Queens.
