Kayla Lemus

While majoring in French and Spanish at Scripps College, Kayla interned at several non-profits, including Libraries Without Borders in France, Féminin Pluriel and l’AMSAT in Morocco, and Claremont Heritage in California. Upon graduation, she started a Princeton in Latin America fellowship at Yspaniola, a non-profit in the Dominican Republic. This experience deepened her understanding of legal status and citizenship issues in the Dominican Republic. Kayla provides legal assistance to low income immigrants at the Brooklyn Public Library.
