As an undergraduate at UC Berkeley, Viridiana worked at various non-profit organizations providing legal services to Latino immigrant communities. Viridiana’s experience at these organizations fueled her desire to advocate on behalf of immigrants and to continue learning about immigration law and policy. Her passion and dedication for immigrants’ rights led her to the Washington Office of Latin America (WOLA), where she participated in policy advocacy at the federal level. With Immigrant Justice Corps, Viridiana is looking forward to continuing to build on her experience representing vulnerable populations. As a Community Fellow, she works at the Queens Public Library assisting clients in affirmative cases such as naturalization, temporary protected status, and adjustment of status.
