In 2019, Jeffrey earned his bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from Columbia University. His experience as a child of two immigrants from Guatemala, witnessing the many injustices faced by impoverished non-citizens in this country, led him to study Latin American immigration to the United States during his undergraduate years. During these years, Jeffrey also got involved with a number of immigrant-serving non-profit organizations, including Westchester Hispanic Coalition and CIANA, where he was able to assist in the delivery of low-cost immigration legal services to immigrants in need. Jeffrey is committed to empowering, defending, and advocating for marginalized communities and he has joined IJC to become better capable to do so. He is placed at Part of the Solution (POTS) in the Bronx.
