Micaela Rodriguez Tovar
Micaela was born in Queretaro, Mexico and raised in Fallbrook, California where she moved to at the age of six. Her personal experience as an undocumented student motivated her to demand for an increase of institutional support and resources at UC Santa Barbara. After receiving her BA, Micaela became the Program Assistant for Undocumented Student Services at UCSB and continued to support the retention and academic success of undocumented students. Now, she will expand her advocacy work for the immigrant community as a Community Fellow at Queens Public Library by assisting clients in affirmative cases.
