Christy Suquitana (they/she) is passionate about supporting vulnerable populations in the United States. They have worked for the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, the office of Assemblymember Catalina Cruz, the New York Public Interest Research Group, the Coalition for Juvenile Justice, and Al Otro Lado. Their passion for immigration justice drew them to IJC’s mission and the opportunity to represent undocumented folks in various legal matters. As an incoming Immigrant Justice Corps Community Fellow with Volunteers of Legal Service’s Immigration Project, Christy will be conducting intake with clients, helping organize presentations, and providing assistance on other immigration matters
