Laken is a first-generation law student devoted to serving marginalized communities. She received her B.S. in Cybersecurity and her B.A. in Law and Politics from Freed-Hardeman University. During law school, Laken interned at a general practice firm in Clinton, Tennessee. She was also one of the first four Expungement Fellows at LMU Duncan School of Law where she worked with the formerly incarcerated to clean up their criminal records and restore their driver’s licenses. Upon graduation, she was awarded the President Abraham Lincoln Pro Bono Award for completing over 250 hours of pro bono service to the community. Laken is excited to begin working with ChildLaw Services, assisting unaccompanied children in West Virginia.
