As a student at Franklin and Marshall College, Lia paired her degree in Government and International Studies with a commitment to social change and advocacy to work with various organizations that support underserved communities. Most recently, she was the Refugee Employment Intern for the non-profit Church World Services. In this role, she collaborated with case managers to help 20 newly-arrived refugees find employment in Lancaster City. Lia is eager to join the IJC team because she wants to make a larger impact on the immigrant community and provide high-quality legal services through the New York Public Library.
