Sandra came to law school knowing she wanted to pursue immigration law. She interned with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) in Houston the summer after her 1L year and subsequently joined the Immigrants’ Rights Practicum at Tulane. The summer after her 2L year, Sandra worked for Immigration Services and Legal Advocacy in New Orleans. She is spending her final year of law school working as a student attorney for Tulane’s Domestic Violence Clinic. As an IJC Fellow, Sandra will provide direct legal representation to non-detained immigrants facing imminent removal at the International Rescue Committee in Phoenix, Arizona.
