Before law school, Andrea worked as a client services associate at the Medicare Rights Center and as a paralegal at New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU). At NYCLU, she focused on immigrants’ rights matters and learned of the barriers that immigrants face in the United States. At Cardozo, Andrea was a student in the Immigration Justice Clinic and the Editor-in-Chief of the Cardozo Journal of Equal Rights and Social Justice. As an IJC Fellow, she will work at Make the Road New York serving the immigrant community in Staten Island on a variety of matters such as asylum, SIJ, and removal defense.
