Prior to law school, Andréa worked as a paralegal assisting immigrant survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence applying for humanitarian relief at the Catholic Charities of Chicago. During law school, Andréa interned with the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice and the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Southeast Immigrant Freedom Initiative, where she advocated for the release of immigrants detained in rural Georgia. Andréa is thrilled to be working with Lutheran Social Services of New York, where she will work primarily with individuals applying for asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status relief.
