In law school, Andres enrolled in the Immigration Clinic for two semesters representing clients in removal proceedings and habeas corpus hearings. He also worked as a research assistant for the Director of the Immigration Clinic. In his final year of law school Andres worked at a small private immigration firm where he worked in various asylum, SIJ, and cancellation of removal cases. As an IJC Fellow Andres will be working with IJC’s Long Island Project representing Central American families who are seeking asylum in removal proceedings in the New York City Immigration Court.
