Daniel Ochea graduated from Fordham University School of Law, LLM. Daniel’s interest in immigration law was born from the fact that he is an immigrant. Due to his personal experience with the immigration process, Daniel knew he wanted to help other immigrants like him. Daniel was part of a law firm practicing immigration law. During his time period of work experience helping immigrants achieve legal status, Daniel developed more knowledge and more interest in the area of immigration Law. Daniel is a New York licensed attorney as well as a licensed attorney in his home country, Venezuela. Daniel looks forward to being part of Safe Horizon as an IJC Fellow and advocate on behalf of immigrant survivors of crime, torture, or abuse in New York City.
