Isabel’s background and experiences have solidified her desire to become an immigration attorney, ally, and advocate. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in history and political science and a minor in Latin American and Caribbean studies. During her time at Columbia Law School, Isabel interned with the Legal Aid Society and Brooklyn Defender Services where she worked in immigration defense and affirmative relief cases. At Columbia, Isabel was a staff editor for the Columbia Law Review and president of the Latinx Law Students Association. Isabel is excited to be joining the Brooklyn Defender Services.
