As a Mexican immigrant who arrived in the United States at only three months old, Jaime has always understood what it means to be an immigrant. Jaime’s passion for helping immigrants stems from his personal status and aligns closely with IJC’s mission statement. He has taken part in the Asylum Clinic at NYLS and interned at Safe Passage Project and Catholic Charities of New York. As an IJC Fellow, Jaime will provide legal services to immigrant students and young adults in NYC with Volunteers of Legal Service’s Immigration Project.
