Before beginning law school at UC Berkeley School of Law, Javier served as a legal assistant at Catholic Charities San Francisco for two years where, as a member of the Removal Defense Team, he not only got his first exposure to immigration law, but also learned the ins-and-outs of nonprofit work. Throughout his law school career, Javier affirmed his commitment to the field by serving the immigrant communities of California’s Central Valley and the Charlotte Metropolitan area. Javier looks forward to starting his placement with Just Neighbors, where he will be serving undocumented children in Washington, D.C. and northern Virginia.
