Jacob entered law school at the University of Arkansas with the long-term purpose of practicing in the immigration field. During his 2L summer, he served refugees and asylum seekers through his work with Arkansas Immigrant Defense and Canopy Refugee Services. Furthermore, he provided pro bono legal services to clients through the law school’s immigration clinic for two semesters. He will build out a new program within the University of Arkansas’s immigration clinic as part of his two-year IJC placement, collaborating with current law students to serve clients directly and create a network of support for unaccompanied children in Northwest Arkansas.
