As a Miami native and the daughter of Cuban immigrants, Juliana has a personal connection to immigrant justice and an awareness of the harms that the immigration system routinely inflicts on noncitizens. Before law school, Juliana worked as a paralegal for the Immigrant Justice Project at the Center for Appellate Litigation. During law school, she continued working with immigrant communities, interning at the Immigrant Defense Project, Make the Road NY, Brooklyn Legal Services, and Brooklyn Defender Services. Juliana is looking forward to returning to Miami and joining Catholic Legal Services, where she will be representing unaccompanied children in removal proceedings.
