As a student attorney for Columbia’s Immigrants’ Rights Clinic, Larisa worked for four semesters with immigrants seeking asylum and other forms of relief. She has a particular interest in advocacy for disability-related safeguards in immigration proceedings, partly based on her pre-law school health and disability policy work experience. After law school, Larisa clerked in the District of Massachusetts and the First Circuit. As an appellate clerk, she worked on petitions for review of decisions of the Board of Immigration Appeals. Larisa is excited to work with CAIR Coalition’s Detained Adult Program, where she will represent detained immigrants in removal proceedings.
