Lisa’s immigration law journey began when she participated in Lake Forest College’s Border Studies Program. Lisa later interned with the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, The Young Center, Al Otro Lado, Beyond Legal Aid, and Just Futures Law. She also served as a student attorney in Georgetown Law’s CALS asylum clinic, was President of Georgetown Law’s Immigration Law Student Association, and completed over 500 hours of pro bono legal work. Lisa looks forward to joining Safe Horizon as an IJC Fellow and advocating on behalf of immigrant survivors of crime, torture, or abuse in New York City.
