Michael found his passion for social justice and immigrant advocacy at Gettysburg College’s Center for Public Service as an undergraduate student. From there, Michael interned with the Pennsylvania Migrant Education Program and spent 7 years in educational advocacy for migrant children. Inspired by that work, he enrolled at Temple Law School. Michael interned for the Domestic Violence Survivors legal team at HIAS PA, the Anti-Human Trafficking legal team at Nationalities Service Center, as well as clerked part-time at the immigration firm PICLaw. As an IJC Vera UCP Justice Fellow at HIAS PA, Michael will represent unaccompanied immigrant children in Philadelphia.
