Michelle decided to attend law school after working as an immigration paralegal at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston’s Unaccompanied Children Program. While studying at GW Law, she helped represent immigrant survivors of human trafficking as an intern at Ayuda, an immigration legal services provider in Fairfax, Virginia. She also interned at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Trafficking in Persons, the National Immigration Law Center, and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Michelle is looking forward to joining the National Immigrant Justice Center as an IJC Vera Unaccompanied Children Program Justice Fellow.
