Nicole’s main mission is to advocate relentlessly on behalf of survivors of violence. Throughout her time at William & Mary Law School, she found every opportunity to pursue this aim, including writing a Note for the William & Mary Journal of Women and the Law on gender-based asylum claims. She took every immigration course offered, interning at the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network, and Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), and trained prosecutors in Virginia on working with immigrant survivors of violence. Nicole is placed at Safe Horizon’s Immigration Law Project where she assists immigrant victims of crime, domestic violence and severe trafficking. As an IJC Justice Fellow, Nicole hopes to amplify the voices of survivors of violence.
