Pedro Hipolito joined the Immigrant Justice Corps in October 2023 as Recruitment Manager. Over his decade in University Enrollment Management, he has supported students and families in their pursuit of higher education, worked to expand opportunities and fill knowledge gaps for historically impacted communities. As a first generation American, he understands the powerful impact the Immigrant Justice Corps and Fellows have on the lives of immigrants and families.
His work has included developing a DEI event series, college access partnerships, events management, staff training and development, marketing initiatives, candidate recruitment, admission review, and various university wide collaborations. He served on the University’s Chief Diversity Council to improve climate and environment for students and staff alike. He has presented, in English and Spanish, at the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC) Conference and Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (CICU) College Access Fairs on admission, financial aid and the roles of students, school and university staff.
Pedro received a B.A. in Political Science and Latin American Studies from Adelphi University, an M.B.A. from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, and a Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Human Resources from Cornell University. He is enthusiastic and ready to work alongside IJC Fellows to support the immigrant communities around the country.
