Shannon’s time as an intern at Legal Services of the Hudson Valley was the first of many learning experiences that informed Shannon’s decision to pursue immigration law. Shannon participated in direct representation of immigrant youth in Hofstra Law’s Youth Advocacy Clinic for three semesters. Last summer, Shannon traveled to the United States southern Border to speak with and learn from active professionals in immigration law as part of Hofstra Law’s Immigration Law and Border Enforcement Program. Shannon is excited to return to Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, now as an IJC Fellow, and continue representing unaccompanied children.
