Stephanie previously worked as a social worker, therapist, and program manager in a Community Based Child & Family Mental Health Program. In 2019 Stephanie connected with organizations that challenged the policies consigning people to ICE detention facilities. She volunteered in a befriending program with Justice for Migrant Families. Here she learned about the difficulties in the US Immigration System, the lack of support and legal representation for low income undocumented people. These experiences influenced her decision to pursue a degree in law. She will join Journey’s End Refugee Services in Rochester, NY and serve unaccompanied minors in detention facilities.
