Tatum’s commitment to immigrant justice stems from her family’s experience of unjust exclusion in the legal system and her work with immigrants in Southern Italy. During law school, Tatum participated in the University of Washington Immigration Law Clinic, representing clients in their affirmative proceedings and in Immigration Court. She interned with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, where she advocated for immigrant survivors of domestic violence, trafficking, and other crimes. Tatum is thrilled to join Vital Immigrant Defense Advocacy and Services, where she will be providing direct representation to unaccompanied children.
