Immigration holds profound significance for Theresa, as a child of immigrants from Liberia who overcame numerous challenges to settle in a new country. This personal connection has shaped her understanding of the importance of support and advocacy. Her work as a paralegal and her experience at Catholic Charities of Central Florida solidified her dedication to public service. The commitment to immigrants’ rights at IJC deeply resonates with her. She is honored to join the Tahirih Justice Center in Atlanta, Georgia as an IJC Fellow, where she will advocate for immigrants in a system often stacked against them.
