Black Lives Matter

Immigrant Justice Corps stands in solidarity with Black communities demanding justice and accountability. The anger and suffering we have seen over the last week is just a snapshot of the oppression and suffering inflicted on Black communities for centuries. We will not let this violence be normalized. 

Do we want to live in a country that continues to brutalize people with impunity? In a country where justice is only available to some? As immigration attorneys and advocates, we are committed to justice, liberty and compassion. But liberty is not granted to Black Americans. Enough is enough.

Our work as immigration lawyers and advocates is rooted in fighting against systemic racism and systems of oppression. At the heart, immigration issues are Black liberation issues, which means we are united in our fight for racial equity. We stand in solidarity with those fighting for Black lives and we will fight with them, as we work for all to live with justice, safety, and freedom.
