Long Island Project (IJC)

A natural outgrowth of IJC’s effort to increase access to counsel, IJC’s in-house removal defense team is dedicated to defending Central American families who are seeking asylum in removal proceedings in the New York City Immigration Court. As part of a joint pilot program between IJC and CARECEN, this team represents families residing in the 5 boroughs of New York City and both counties on Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk).

* Long Island Project hosts both Justice and Community Fellows.
