Benjamin Haldeman

A former teacher, Ben decided to go to law school after interning with the Family & Immigration Unit at New Haven Legal Assistance one summer. Once there, he split time between immigration and criminal defense work, interning with the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, as well as representing refugees with IRAP and asylum-seekers in UConn’s Asylum & Human Rights Clinic and its Immigration Detention Service Project. Ben has returned to New Haven Legal Assistance, where he focuses on defensive asylum cases.
