Cindy Ramirez

Before law school, Cindy worked on a range of immigration cases at the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN) in Los Angeles, California. The skills she learned at CARECEN were extremely useful during her work with an asylum-seeking client in her law school’s Refugee and Human Rights Clinic. Her summer internships at Kids in Need of Defense-San Francisco and at Immigrant Defenders Law Center-Riverside exposed her to the unwarranted obstacles immigrants - many of whom are survivors of severe trauma - face while in removal proceedings. She feels privileged to continue fighting for immigrants’ rights as part of BakerRipley’s Deportation Defense Houston team.
