Bria has been involved in immigration legal advocacy for several years, as an activist, intern, and law student. Prior to becoming an IJC Fellow, she worked with Migrant Justice, the Association of Africans Living in Vermont, Al Otro Lado, the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center, Demissie and Church Attorneys at Law, the Northeastern Immigrant Justice Clinic, and Mintz. Bria is particularly drawn to deportation defense and is thrilled to be working with the Chacón Center for Immigrant Justice on deportation defense and legislative advocacy for those seeking humanitarian relief and those facing immigration consequences of criminal convictions.
