The country’s unique cultural identity is born out of the rich and dynamic tapestry of its diverse citizenry. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, David has since called multiple cities with proportionately large immigrant populations home. As contention around the subject of immigration has grown, David’s experience has convinced him that the problem lies not with the people but with the system they must navigate. The Volunteer Lawyers Project of CNY has provided David with an opportunity to help people with issues they encounter as they move through our immigration system.
