Eduardo first became involved in legal advocacy in 2017 when he took part in the Unaccompanied Latin American Minor’s Project, where he provided social and legal support to recently arrived immigrant minors in deportation proceedings. Afterwards, from 2017 to 2018, he was a Rossana Rosado Fellow at the Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights, where he conducted naturalization screenings and advocated for immigration policy change. From 2018 to 2019, Eduardo was a VERA Fellow at Safe Horizon Immigration Law Project, where he provided free legal guidance to immigrant survivors of crime, torture or abuse. Eduardo is placed at Immigrant Justice Corps’ Long Island Project, assisting Central American families who are seeking asylum.
