Jennifer’s experience growing up in a predominantly Latinx, immigrant neighborhood fueled her passion. Before law school, she worked with Make the Road New York and Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement House providing a range of immigration services. She was a legal intern with Safe Passage Project and helped unaccompanied minors obtain asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. In the Immigrant & Non-Citizen Rights Clinic at CUNY Law, Jennifer co-wrote a brief to the Second Circuit seeking to reopen her client’s case sua sponte. As a Staff Attorney with Brooklyn Defender Services, she will secure permanent forms of immigration relief for clients through a multidisciplinary approach.
