While obtaining a joint JD-LLM in international and comparative law at Duke University Law School, Lauren helped lead the student-led Duke Immigrant and Refugee Project and participated in the International Human Rights Clinic. These experiences helped her develop advocacy skills related to both the needs of local communities and broader international issues. Lauren continued to develop her litigation and internationally focused skills as a law clerk at the U.S. Court of International Trade. She looks forward to joining the comprehensive immigration service provider Building One Community in Stamford, CT where she will work with the growing removal defense program.
