Leila supports IJC as a HR Talent & Culture Specialist. Prior to IJC, Leila handled high-volume recruitment at a local Brooklyn e-commerce company. She also worked as an educator and Education Program Director for over seven years in NYC Department of Education’s Pre-K for All, where she handled the licensing of a new program, managed its day-to-day operations, and handled employee training. Currently making her mark in the field of People Operations, Leila combines her recruitment and education industry experience with her passion for employee experience to foster a thriving and inclusive workplace.
Leila has a B.A. in English and M.S.ed from Hunter College. She also earned a Professional Certificate as a teacher in NYS for Early Childhood Education.
