As the daughter of immigrants, Michelle is passionate about human rights and immigration issues. While in law school, she assisted clients with their asylum claims and provided removal defense through her school’s Immigration Law Practice Group Clinic. While she worked at a Domestic Abuse Service Center, she assisted survivors of domestic violence and learned how immigration status can affect people navigating the legal system. Michelle also got the opportunity to travel to Tijuana, Mexico and provide legal services to asylum seekers at the border. At Safe Horizon she looks forward to continuing to support victims of crime and abuse by providing legal representation through various forms of immigration relief.
