Rich entered law school after a career in philanthropy at Bank of America, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors and the Helmsley Charitable Trust. During his career, he oversaw over $250 million in grants to nonprofits working in education, conservation, medical research, disaster recovery and economic development. During law school, he was involved with immigration clinics and internships and was also selected as a Pro Bono Scholar where he worked with clients seeking special immigrant juvenile status, asylum, temporary protected status, etc. As an IJC Fellow, he will be working with unaccompanied children at Catholic Charities in Newark, New Jersey.
