Sarah Butterfield holds a B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University and a J.D. from NYU Law. At NYU, Sarah served as a Student Advocate in the Immigrant Rights Clinic. Prior to law school, Sarah worked in refugee and asylum law at a legal aid clinic in Cairo, Egypt, where she served as a Senior Legal Advisor. Since completing her J.D., Sarah has worked as a Legal Fellow at Adalah, a legal center defending human rights in Palestine. As an IJC Fellow at the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, Sarah will represent detained immigrants in removal proceedings.
