Before law school, Sofia worked as a paralegal in Chicago at the National Immigrant Justice Center. Sofia continued pursuing her goal of working with immigrant communities at New York University School of Law, where she was a student advocate in the Immigrant Rights Clinic and interned with the Texas Civil Rights Project and The Bronx Defenders. Sofia is excited to join The Bronx Defenders as an IJC fellow and continue working with clients targeted by both the immigration and criminal legal systems.
