Trez Ataia graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with an LLM degree and a certificate in International Law. She holds a Diploma in Political Science from Cairo University and a bachelor’s degree in law from Mansoura University in Egypt. With over five years of experience as a lawyer and researcher, Trez has advocated for minority communities and children’s rights in Egypt, working extensively on cases involving freedom of speech and contempt of religion. Fluent in Arabic and English, she is also learning Spanish. Trez is excited to join Catholic Charities in Dallas, where she will work in the Unaccompanied Children Program (UCP), providing vital legal support to immigrant children.
