After college, Diego assisted immigrants in removal proceedings as a paralegal at a small firm. He then worked at Americans for Immigrant Justice, where he provided KYR presentations to unaccompanied children and assisted on different forms of relief, including SIJS and asylum. He was a research assistant for the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (Oxford) (on Asian-Latino communities). During law school, he interned for Judge Gayles at the Southern District of Florida as well as at SPLC’s Immigrant Justice Project in Atlanta, GA. Diego is excited to help immigrants in removal proceedings in many different forms of relief, and advocating for immigrant communities throughout Orange County, California at Public Law Center.
