Emily began working in immigration law as a Tufts University undergraduate, when she was a summer intern at Ayuda, an immigration legal services provider in Virginia. This experience inspired Emily to attend law school and pursue a career in immigrant advocacy. At NYU Law, Emily interned at Family Legal Care and The Legal Aid Society Immigration Law Unit’s Youth Project. She also participated in NYU’s Immigrant Defense Clinic, which allowed her to assist with client representation at IJC’s headquarters. Emily is looking forward to joining the Catholic Charities Unaccompanied Minors Program, where she will represent unaccompanied children in immigration proceedings.
