Grace is a longtime advocate for the human rights of refugees and people experiencing displacement. Prior to law school, she worked in refugee camps in Greece and Croatia. During law school she interned with Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center in El Paso, TX and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, as well as interned with the Board of Immigration Appeals. She served with the Immigration Clinic through the Legal Aid Justice Center and as the Chapter Director for the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) at UVA Law. She is honored to represent unaccompanied children with Empire Justice Center as an IJC fellow.
