Katarina was inspired to practice immigration law by the people and families she met while teaching English and working with the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights. At NYU Law, she advocated for immigrants with NYU’s Crimmigration Clinic and NDS Harlem’s Immigration Defense Team. She continued to build community with immigrants by assisting at pro se asylum clinics and volunteering as Friend of the Court. Katarina looks forward to working with the New Jersey Consortium for Immigrant Children, where she will help high school students and their families access immigration relief.
