Marlene Pierce was drawn to immigration law after seeing loved ones struggling through an unjust legal system. Her work with women escaping domestic violence in Mexico, individuals without homes in France, and expats in Japan has shaped her advocacy and worldview. Taking a non traditional path after a career as a university debate coach and instructor, she has prepared for to be an immigration lawyer through Sturm Law’s Immigration Law Clinic and externships with the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network and Novo Legal Group. She is excited to join Catholic Charities of Central Colorado as a Katzmann Fellow
