Nicole’s work with detained immigrants at the ABA Commission on Immigration compelled her to become a lawyer and advocate for immigration reform. During law school, Nicole served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Shelly A. Mulkey in the D.C. Superior Court. She interned twice at HIAS, where she worked on asylum and VAWA cases. She also served as a Student Attorney for the Immigrant Justice Clinic at WCL and volunteered with WCL’s chapter of the International Refugee Assistance Program (IRAP). Nicole is excited to be working with Ayuda to represent unaccompanied immigrant children.
