Paloma is passionate about collaborative defense, being innovative and zealous in representing people in immigration court, and educating and empowering directly affected people. These interests are what brought her to Immigrant Justice Corps. Previously, she has worked at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada in their immigration unit managing U visa and VAWA petitions. During the Summer of 2018, she worked serving the campaigns and initiatives of the New Orleans Workers’ Center for Racial Justice in Louisiana. She is honored to join the UNLV Immigration Clinic and focus on deportation defense for detained clients.
